When you first hear the term internet addiction, you may smile and think this new term is a joke. Okay, so maybe people do waste a lot of time on the internet. But how can that be such a bad thing?

Yet, internet addiction can be a serious problem. Like many addictions, it is a compulsive disorder. First, take the word addiction itself. Addiction means that you are dependent on something, it is taking up a lot of your time. Now think about the time one can waste on the internet. Okay, so an hour here and there isn't a bad thing. But if a person is addicted to the internet they will be online longer than just an hour and it won't just be an event that happens occasionally, being online is something they do daily for hours on end. This addiction can lead to time away from family and friends. It can even led to time that should be spent at work.

Internet addiction can be further explained into subcategories, too. One may not just be addicted to the internet. One can get addicted to certain activities that perform while on the internet such as: online auctions, online chat rooms, online surfing, online gaming, and this addiction can even led to more serious online problems such as online gambling and online cybersex.

How do you know if you have a problem? You should start by looking at your internet habits. Then ask yourself such questions as: How often are you online? Does being online ever interfere with your work or home duties and if so how often does it? How often do you check your email? Do people in your home complain about how often you are online? Do you continue to search out new online friends? When you are not online do you anticipate when you can go back online? Do you get annoyed when someone interrupts you while you are online? Do you loose sleep because you are online late at night? Do you ever hide the length of time you were online?

The answer to the above questions can indicate that you have a problem. If you think you do, what should you do? Like with any other health problem, you may want to consider counseling. If you can't afford counseling, you may want to check out some websites that offers some help.

It may seem strange that there are websites that help with online addiction. Yet, if you think about it online websites may be the best place for online addiction sufferer to seek help. A great site is netaddiction.com. At this site, they further explain what online addiction is. They also have online self tests you can take, to see if you have a problem and to see just how deep your problem is. They also offer advice for more serious online problems such as online gambling and online cybersex activities. They even have chat rooms where recovering addicts and family members of recovering addicts can come together and share.

Should one avoid the internet for fear of getting addicted, no? The internet is a wonderful tool. You can learn a lot online. Plus, it is a great place to just relax and have fun. But moderation is the key in any activity, including the internet.

Parents should also monitor their children to make sure that they are not becoming addicted to the internet. Some children, especially teenagers, have problems building friendships and relationships. You don't want your child's only friendships to be on the internet.

The internet and your online friends should not take the place of real life and real life people. If you remember that one sentence, you will continue to enjoy the internet in a healthy way.

Affordable Solution For Customer Call Center Operations

Communications are an obvious necessity for the streamlined operation of any small business or enterprise call center. A company which deals with PBX systems for large calling requirements such as customer service and contact order centers know of the large overhead and maintenance costs of operating such call volume. The overall CPM (cost per minute) of the inbound and outbound calling traffic can be strenuous on any sized company budget .

A solution to the overwhelming call center costs is what is known as VoIP. VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) allows an application known as IP PBX. IP PBX essentially replaces traditional PBX systems via Internet connectivity. Equipment is far less expensive for the operational use of an IP PBX system yet has more robust features for call centers such as call routing, messaging, virtual attendant, dial prompting, extension management, call holding, and more.

A great advantage over traditional PBX systems is in the way data is able to be handled alongside with voice traffic. Many types of applications can be used with phone calls seamlessly and simultaneously such as call timing, call recording, call location, customer data, as well as the ability to make all call operations and recording available via email systems and servers.

While IP PBX enabled call center solutions may seem like a product strictly for large enterprises, many savvy small business owners have found the affordable VoIP alternative to be beneficial for their business size and quickly are swooping up on the technology. IP PBX technology allows them to appear larger with customer service capability for less than their traditional phone lines or PBX systems that previously came without features VoIP communications offers. As a matter of fact, many business and home offices are able to utilize IP BX solutions starting under $100.00 a month.

In addition to the many call center features that only IP PBX can offer your enterprise or business, added benefits like conference calling, faxing, low rate international long distance, 800 number ad campaign tracking, and more make the technology even more appealing.

What is required to begin using this technology is a high speed Internet connection. Depending on the size and call volume a call center might require, a T1, T3, or Gigabit Ethernet connection. In many cases for office or small business applications Cable or DSL Internet may be sufficient if phone lines do not exceed 4. Much of the bandwidth requirements for your services can easily be assessed and discussed over email or phone with a VoIP provider or reseller.

The old saying I hear at family gatherings from older aunts and uncles is you can't avoid paying taxes or death. Well, higher taxes can continue on your estate, if you aren't savvy enough to have your assets reviewed by dial-up service CPA Email Tmnetmy an attorney. There are things you can do if you can plan ahead to assure the money and assets you have earned go to your loved ones, instead of the government. One option is giving away up to $12,000 a year as a gift to as many individuals as they wish, and if married, the spouse can also give the same amount without incurring a gift tax. Also, leaving an amount to charity can also be subtracted from the bottom line. Mortgages or credit debts outstanding can also be deducted from the total amount of the estate

Estate taxes, aka as death taxes, aka inheritance tax was changed in 2001 during the Bush term. (Before this change, the estate tax was 55% on assets over $1 million.) Starting in 2001 and each year following, the assets over a certain dollar amount of your estate get taxed. In the current 2008 year, anything over $2 million for an individual and $4 million for couples is taxed by 45%. The guidelines continue to grow for 2009 by total assets exceeding $3.5 million will be taxed. As it currently stands, by 2010 the estate tax will be canceled, and reverse back to 2001's dollar amounts and tax percentages. But many doubt that will actually occur. Our neighboring country (Canada) eventually did away with their estate tax during the 1980's and treats it as ordinary income.

At the time of your death all assets including real estate, cash, stocks, insurance and business interest are valued at the current market value and are totaled. Additionally, heir(s) must file the proper tax forms within 9 months from the date of death. If you are married and your estate goes to your surviving spouse, it is usually exempt from the estate tax formula, known as the unlimited marital deduction. Back in 2006 the IRS eliminated over 300 of their estate tax lawyers and auditors since the current estate tax threshold limits are much higher, therefore, fewer taxpayers were obligated to pay estate taxes.

There are definitely pros and cons on such a tax. This additional tax brings in a large amount to the federal budget. It also assures the very wealthy of our country pay their fair share of taxes. Unfortunately, there are more negative aspects on this tax for the middle class. Should you have an untimely death, your heirs could be penalized by higher estate taxes, since no tax plan was ever created. If you opt to begin to "gift" part of your assets each year, you eliminate Best Broadband Package in company stocks for many years, when can have a negative affect on the economy and the person's Streamyx assets for themselves and their heirs. Also, the estate tax does not take into consideration how many heirs are involved, but is only based on the total dollar amount. Another case in business internet connection is taxing on assets that have already been taxed when purchased.

Estate taxes can also be very burdensome on small business owners along with small family farm owners. Since the estate tax is based on asset values, the tax must be paid out of income. Their only solution is to get a loan to pay the estate tax or to sell their farm or business, since the tax must be paid within 9 months. Many of the farm owners and business are forced to sell their inheritance. This makes it difficult for family and business owners acquire family wealth and investments for the next generation.

It's important for the estate tax limits to increase each year if the middle class is ever going to have a chance to build their assets for the next generation. Without this continual increase, it will be a catch 22 for this group who will get taxed 45% on any investments or assets over 1,000,000 after the year 2010. This will put a limit on the next generation who inherit assets and must sell part of them to pay any estate tax. This next generation will find it more difficult to increase their asset base for themselves and their family. It can limit this group from investing since there are little rewards but higher taxes. This particular tax was started to help the war on independence in the 18th century, and again during the Great Depression, we can be sure that is will not go away any time soon. On the IRS website, it shows in 2006, they processed over 58,000 estate tax returns, collecting over $26,000,000,000 in revenue. When doing away with one tax, and new or revised tax may be created.

All the Amazing Benefits of Satellite Internet

There is another way to get super fast internet in your home besides being a cable customer, and it is available for anybody at all. That's good news for a lot sms from pc Americans, as the better part of our country's population lives outside the reach of the underground cable networks that litter strictly urban and suburban areas, and only some at that. The option these people (as well as anybody living in those urban and suburban areas mentioned) have for getting incredible download speeds in their home is satellite internet, which is revolutionizing the web industry throughout the world, putting the power of internet in the hands of more people than you could ever imagine.

The many benefits are just too significant-on their own and the sum of their total-to be overlooked, and more and more people are realizing that they should have (or need) a satellite internet connection for their home or business, especially those living far from the major cities. That is, of course, the biggest and most notorious benefit of satellite: it's available anywhere, no matter what (well, only as long as you don't have a physical obstacle blocking the signal from being captured by your dish, which isn't a lot to ask). A clear line of sight with the southern sky makes selfcare American a perfect candidate for a satellite broadband internet connection.

Of course, by getting satellite you'll be liberating phone lines, which really is a great move forward. Although up until recently satellite customers could only download and not upload information to the web, today satellite connections are two-way, and uploads are included, too. So, whereas a satellite customer streamyx hot spot have had to have a dial-up modem occupying their phone line to upload data, now they get to route traffic in both directions through their dish and free the phone line for good. And thank heavens that that is so, since connection speeds are up to 50+ times faster via satellite compared to dial-up. The time saved, therefore, is another major benefit in and of itself. This allows you and your whole family to download videos, music, files, and do tons of other things on the web conveniently and quickly: no more glaring at the computer screen as the green bar slowly inches its way towards completion, cursing all existence out of the frustration the situation causes you to feel (especially if you are downloading things for work, study, or any urgent matter).

Of course, it doesn't matter what kind of computer you have-Mac or Windows, etc-as satellite internet can be hooked up effectively to any machine with a network adapter. You can even have multiple computers access the web simultaneously and set up a local network, which is excellent for people running a home office or with multiple people needing to connect at the same time. Most providers offer specials, so find out what deals are out there and who is providing in your area. Look for some sort of temporary guarantee at the very least, or perhaps the possibility of low up-front payments: these sort of things generally are offered by more reputable and professional companies, so pay attention to them.

Dial-up is no longer the only option. You can access the advanced power of high-speed broadband through Hughes Net internet service. There are lots of great Hughes internet packages currently available, so check them out today.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm constantly getting calls unwired internet numbers I don't recognize. Now I don't think I'm alone in saying there are people out there I just don't want broadband services Email Tmnetmy to. Avoiding creditors and ex-girlfriends keeps me from answering a lot of calls. On the other hand, there are plenty of people calling that I want and need to talk to, and I can't afford to blow them off or hope they'll leave a message so I can get back to them. The bottom line is I need to know who's calling me.

Looking up a phone number on Google sometimes works, especially for people with land lines or businesses, but nobody uses a land line anymore. The problem is that there's no official directory for mobile phone numbers. The major cell phone providers with the exception of Verizon Wireless have a collaborative project in the works to create a comprehensive directory, but it's still off in the distance a ways. The other drawback is that it will be on a volunteer basis where customers will provide their own information and in turn can search the database. That means there will be a limited availability of numbers and therefore less odds your search will return anything. It might also mean users can provide whatever info they broadband usage meter so results might not be accurate anyway.

There are some existing independent volunteer registries that operate on a Streamix basis like cellphonedirectory.com or nationalcellulardirectory.com. They can be helpful but share the aforementioned drawbacks of volunteer directories.

There are also sites available that don't require any information from you. In my experience they're pretty accurate and have a broad database. I've yet to do a search that hasn't turned up results. My favorites are www.cellreversedirectory.com, www.namefromcell.com, and www.reverse-white-pages.com. If you really need to find somebody or find out who's calling you these may be your best bet. Best of luck!

Looking for Free PSP games download?

If youre like me, having spent $19.99 - $29.99 on each PSP game I have, I bet you are.

After spending quite a fortune buying PSP games I got to a point where I realized it cant go on like that, I cant keep on spending so much money on my PSP, so I went to look for a way in which I could still get new PSP games but wont have to spend as much.

The first place I looked in (naturally) was the Internet. I dont know whats your experience with free PSP games downloads but I was amazed of the number of results I got, there are literally thousands of different sites claiming to provide you with free PSP games!

True to my cause (finding a way to get PSP games for less), I visited many of the PSP games sites I found, and let me say I was a bit disappointed. My PC security detected spyware and even viruses on many of the sites I visited. Those with no PC threats had no real selection (mainly consistent of homebrew games) or had awful download speed. Suffice it to say, I wasnt happy with what I found?/p>

Dont get me wrong, homebrew games (games created by amateurs and independent programmers) can be fun, but you cant really compare them to the real thing.

Then, not too long ago I came across a PSP downloads review site, where several PSP downloads sites were tested and reviewed. I really like the way the review results are presented - each site has it's own score, short & full review and a feature overview. In addition to the individual review results there are some FAQ, PSP tech specifications and other useful information.

I must say I found the site to be very informative and clear, I could easily find what I was looking so hard (and so long) for!

Click here to visit the PSP downloads review site Lori recommended.
